Recommended;
- Lie-Nielsen #140 skew block plane with fence or equivalent
- sharpening stones at least, 1 - 1000 and 1 - 8000 plus container, spray bottle  and a method to flatten    the stones
- chunk of paraffin wax for plane soles
- a stool to sit on
- depending on the weather, a large floor fan is a good idea.
- anti fatigue mats are good.
- if you have a really good light that you like to use when doing hand work, bring it.

General notes;
All chisels need to be sharp and all saws and hand planes need to be sharp and fettled. This is a dovetail class and we will not be spending time tuning up tools.
Please dress accordingly, no open toed shoes, a dropped chisel on a bare toe really hurts. I keep the shop between 15c and 18c. Dressing in layers is a good idea. Hand tool work can keep you quite warm.
Any tools you don’t have, I do and they are available to you to use during your class.
email me with any tool questions. If you include your contact phone number(s) and a good time to call, we can discuss your questions over the phone.
